Aptly named - "The View" boasts gorgeous ocean views through multiple areas in the cottage. From the family room to the master suite and large rooftop deck - the blue ocean horizon can be enjoyed from every angle.
Located close to the ocean side village of North Rustico and very close to the beautiful Barachois Beach - The View is centrally located with lots to see & do on your next PEI vacation. You have a couple of choices when getting to the beach, it is about a 12-15 minute walk to the beach - or if you are loading up the kids (and all that comes with them), it is likely easier to pack up your vehicle and park down by the shore stairs. Public parking is available along the road. The View is located directly across from the Blue Horizon cottage, in case you are looking for two family properties in close proximity
The bright and accommodating open-concept area (with AC) has an expansive wall of glass with unobstructed views to the ocean. The large kitchen - which includes a sizable centre island - offers ample counter space, lots of storage and stainless appliances. The designer kitchen is well-suited for all of your vacation cooking needs.
The dining area - with seating for 6 - overlooks the ocean in comfortable chairs and is close enough to the fireplace to create a warm ambiance during your early or late summer dining experiences. Beyond that is the ocean view family room with a custom fireplace surround that dominates the far wall and creates a cozy gathering space. The family room has three sets of glass doors that accesses the ocean side deck and makes an easy transfer from indoor to outdoor living. The deck has a custom-made dining table for 8 and lounging chairs to relax in the sun or shade.
The View has three bedrooms, two bathrooms and sleeps 6 guests. The master has a queen bed, private access to the deck, a full en-suite bathroom and gorgeous ocean views. The second bedroom has a queen bed and the third has two single beds. All bedrooms have ceiling fans to keep the rooms cooler at night. The second bathroom is located just down the hall from the bedrooms and next to the laundry room.
One of the best - and most unique - features at The View would have to be the large rooftop deck offering panoramic ocean views. With its built-in seating and Adirondack chairs, it is a great space for cocktail hour, lounging and enjoying sunny PEI days.
Alternatively, our guests who seek the shade, but still want to enjoy the ocean views, will find comfort in the bonus space. This area offers seating (more seating to be added), a table, sink, extra fridge and beautiful views. It's a great use for the kids to have their own zone, entertaining and those overflow groceries & beverages.
The cottage is complete with main area air conditioning, a fully equipped kitchen, a full-size washer and dryer, wifi, cable, bed linens, towels, beach towels, beach chairs, beach toys, a propane BBQ, outdoor dining and a bonfire pit.
