Blue Heron is a beautiful waterfront cottage in Springbrook, situated on the New London Bay with fantastic views of the famous island sanddunes and rustic red cliffs. The cottage provides the perfect setting to play in the surf, walk along the shore, beachcomb or enjoy a waterside bon fire.
The cottage's size and location are perfect for a large group - it sleeps 10 and has 2 master suites - for a multi-generation family.
The main entrance opens up to a beautiful and bright cathedral living area with floor to ceiling waterfront windows, comfortable furniture and a fireplace. The large open-concept main floor has adjoining living and dining areas, a spacious kitchen with island and bar stools, a relaxing screen porch off the dining area to enjoy your morning coffee, a half bath, a master bedroom (queen bed) with private sunroom and ensuite (soaker tub, shower, sink & toilet), a full laundry room, access to the large waterfront deck and a garage.
The second floor is home to two additional bedrooms and a full bathroom (tub/shower, sink & toilet). One bedroom has a queen bed and working/desk area while the other has two double beds and a kids play/tv area. The play area has a couch, fluffy area rug (for games, cards, etc.), a flat screen tv, dvd player and a variety of board games.
The newly renovated lower level (with large daylight windows) has a serene second master bedroom (queen bed) with ensuite (tub/shower, sink & toilet) and a large family room. The family room is bright and welcoming with all that you would need to create an indoor fun family experience - a propane fireplace, a large flat screen tv/dvd, a beverage/snack counter and a ping pong table.
The large waterfront deck provides beautiful views of the bay, sanddunes & ocean and is complete with a dining table, BBQ, deck chairs and a clothesline. The surrounding yard with direct access to the shore (via stairs) is safe and expansive for kids to run, play and explore.
The cottage has 4 bedrooms (sleeps 10 in beds), 3.5 bathrooms, 2 living areas, 2 sunrooms and lots of outdoor living space. Blue Heron is complete with air conditioning, a large waterfront deck, BBQ, and seaside fire pit. The home provides satellite TV, DVD, wireless high-speed internet, linens, towels, beach towels, deck chairs, deck dining, washer/dryer and a fully equipped kitchen.
Springbrook is close to New London, fresh seafood, restaurants, coastal beaches, golf, and Anne of Green Gables attractions. It is about a 12 minute drive to Kensington (groceries, liquor store, restaurants, bike rentals, the famous Frosty Treat Dairy Bar, etc.), 15 minutes to Cavendish (water park, amusement park, shopping, restaurants, golf, groceries, liquor store, boardwalk, etc.) and about 45 minutes to Charlottetown.
