This beautiful - recently constructed - cottage is situated on an acre and allows plenty of room for lounging, sporting or sitting by a bonfire. It was built with comfort and relaxation in mind and to maximize the view overlooking Darnley Basin. It is also conveniently located within a short distance to the popular Twin Shores Beach.
The 1.5 storey - fully air conditioned - summer retreat has an open-concept kitchen/dining area, living room, three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a full washer and dryer and large deck. The main floor living space has several large windows which create a bright and warm vacationing atmosphere with water views. The kitchen is fully equipped (dishwasher, microwave, etc.) and provides a large island and bar stools for great prep space and additional seating. The living room is furnished with new comfortable seating, a flat screen television, Blu-ray/DVD, satellite and has direct access to the front deck and BBQ. There is also a bedroom (queen bed) and full bathroom (tub/shower) on the main level.
The second level is home to the master bedroom (queen bed) which is complete with an office space, second flat screen television, Blu-ray/DVD, and private balcony, with a 180’ view of Darnley Basin and the Atlantic Ocean, the third bedroom (single over double bunk bed and a single trundle bed – sleeps 4) which provides a third flat screen television, Blu-ray/DVD, satellite and a seating area. This bedroom also acts as the extra play space for kids to enjoy movies or their favorite shows. The second bathroom is situated between the bedrooms and has a full shower.
This cottage is located in Darnley (central north shore of PEI). You can walk from the cottage down to the shores of the basin (for beachcombing, lounging or walking along the water's edge) or take a quick 10 minute stroll to the beautiful Twin Shores Beach or a 5 minute drive to Thunder Cove Beach - both on the ocean. It is just 12 minutes from Kensington where you will find groceries, a liquor store, gas, a pharmacy, restaurants, pubs, art studio, shopping, the famous 'Frosty Treat Dairy Bar', bike rentals, the Confederation Trail and Tim Horton's. Summerside, Cavendish, both Sandspit and Shining Waters amusement parks, Anne of Green Gables attractions and numerous challenging golf courses are also short distances away. The Twin Shores Campground has a great convenience store (just 30 second drive down the road) for any items that you need in a pinch! Twin Shores also features a fresh fish vendor in their parking lot who sells fantastic (reasonably priced) seafood - we can personally attest. This is a great cottage in a great area.
