| Summer Escape |
Summer Escape is a beautiful waterfront cottage and a perfect venue for enjoying breathtaking sunsets. The vast surrounding yard and safe sloping access to the shore make this a great escape for families of all ages.
Inside the cottage you are welcomed by a cathedral kitchen-dining area that leads directly to the spacious living room (also cathedral ceilings). The numerous large windows in the living room provide a great view of the water and expansive green space. Take advantage of the two separate seating areas for a great evening movie, games or curling up with a favorite book.
The U-shaped kitchen is well-equipped and has more than enough room for multiple cooks. The adjacent dining area is airy and bright with patio doors that open onto the waterside deck. A large harvest table seats six while stools at the kitchen peninsula seat two more.
Summer Escape sleeps nine with three bedrooms. Two bedrooms have queen beds, the third bedroom has a single over double bunk bed and a sofa-futon sleeps two more (little ones) in the living room. Two bathrooms (one full & one 3/4) are accessed just outside the bedrooms.
Cabot Beach - the largest park in western PEI is just minutes from Summer Escape. This beautiful beach/park has a large day-use area with playground equipment, an activity centre with children's programs and a naturalist on staff who provides guided nature walks. There is also supervised swimming on the scenic Malpeque Bay. Other nearby attractions include world class golf, Anne attractions, antiquing, amusement parks and restaurants.
The nearest town is Kensington (8 min. drive) where you will find groceries, a liquor store, gas, a pharmacy, restaurants, pubs, art studio, shopping, the famous 'Frosty Treat Dairy Bar', bike rentals, the Confederation Trail, Tim Horton's, etc. The sacred area known as "Cavendish" is just 30 minutes away!
The cottage is complete with satellite TV, DVD, wireless high-speed, washer & dryer, linens, towels, beach towels, beach toys, BBQ, stone bon fire pit, deck chairs and a fully equipped kitchen.
