CYCLINGAn Island Built for CyclingTom Couture is a long-haul cyclist, who biked the entire length of the Trans Canada Trail in 2003. According to him, Prince Edward Island's Confederation Trail is the best one out there: "I've travelled all over the world, and I'd say there's no better trail system on the planet," he says. Built along old railway lines, the Confederation Trail is exceptionally well maintained, and there are plenty of small communities along the way where you can enjoy a meal and island hospitality. Couture recommends exploring the coastal branch lines. "Slow down and enjoy the care-free pace of the Island." Four, Your PEI Vacation properties are located adjacent to the Confederation Trail. Properties are cycle friendly!

GEOCACHINGGeocaching on the South ShoreDid you know that there are almost 500 Geocache sites on Prince Edward Island? Some might call Geocaching a modern day version of hide and seek. However, it's best defined as an entertaining adventure game for Global Positioning Device (GPS) users. Caches are set up all over the world and their locations (coordinates) are posted on the Internet. Once GPS users acquire their list of cache coordinates, they then get to set off on their adventure in hunt for the caches. Caches are typically water-proof containers that usually contain a log book and several trinkets from Geocachers who have been there before. Help yourself to one of the trinkets, but be sure to leave one of your own!For more Geocaching information and to find PEI cache coordinates, please click here. http://geocachingpei.com/geocaching/ GEOCACHING
